Saddened at the passing of John Prine on April 7th, 2020, we wanted to offer this 2006 interview with John. With his first album of new songs in more than a decade (at the time), “Fair & Square” was also the first album of new songs featuring Prine’s “post-op” voice. The discussion of his surgery, re-learning how to sing and songs both old and new, again reminded us of John’s wonderful humor, insight and integrity. hopefully, it will bring a smile.
