NEWS: Bobby McFerrin, one of the world's most versatile vocalists, 10x Grammy Award winner, and a brilliant musical innovator, comes to Acoustic Café this week for songs from his new American roots album "spirityouall" (spiritual). Paying tribute to his father, Robert McFerrin, Sr., Bobby explores some of the songs his father performed on his 1957 album "Deep River". Additionally, Bobby covers some classic and contemporary spirituals, and adds some brand new compositions. Joining Bobby (and the band) in performance and interview is his arranger of 30 years, Gil Goldstein.
Also on this week's show, in-studio performances, by the original artists, of songs on Natalie Maines (Dixie Chicks) new solo debut, plus Jack Johnson, Indigo Girls, Crash Test Dummies and more.
